Postage tag card

I am right into the stamping, distressing thing at the moment and the combinations of bird and butterflies is gorgeous. Here is the third card I made used a combination of Tim Holtz "Papillion stamp set" and the Vintage blue stamps by Glitz sgtamps
Firstly I cut the card to the final size, stamped postage stamps in blue ink on it. I then cut out a piece of thin card to make the flap at the top and stamped a postage stamp /watermark on to this in brown (Pinecone) and glued this to the top of the card. The edges were smudged with the brown colour Pinecone, and smudges of blue were  added to the white card to give it a vintage look

The tag was cut out and the butterflies (Papillion) were stamped and coloured with colouring pencil. I placed a mask over the top and stamped the postage stamps. Edges were distressed with brown and a sentiment was added to the bottom of the tag. I glued some lace to the bottom of the tag and the bottom of the main page of the card.Three little stamps wereglued to the front of the main card. Inside I stamped the whole set of butterflies down the edge . Sooooo much fun to do......

Birds

So much fun and easy to do...
Here is another card I made using the vintage blue stamp set . Firstly I stamped a piece of dark blue card with a text stamp ( Tim Holtz-Papillion) using white  ink. Then I stamped the birds on to the card, placed a mask over the birds and stamped the "postage mark"
I used colouring pencils to colour the birds blue and dabbed a bit of blue and yellow ink onto the card to take away the brightness of the white card. In the bottom corner I stamped another stamp mark and coloured this as well. A piece of fabric was glued to the left hand side of the card and some string tied around this. The stamped image was then adhered to the card placed over the stip of fabric.

The same stamp was used to make the piece that was placed on the inside I usually place something over  1/3rd of the inside, and a sentiment stamped beside it.

Vintage Blue

Vintage Blue stamp set by Glitz...

Don't you love the colour blue...any one who knows me knows that it is my favourite colour so when i saw the ideas in the latest Craft Stamper magazine I just had to have a go.
Here are some pictures of a card I made my gorgeous daughter for her birthday.A card was made then a patterned paper laid on top and then the stamped page was layered on top of this .I used a generic blue stamp pad and stamped the rose motif. I then masked the rose and stamped the postage mark over the top in "pinecone" stamp colour. I buffed the edges with the same colour and added a hint of mustard on the stamp mark. the final touch was the little postage stamp in the corner and some string tied around the card.

I stamped the rose on the edge of the inside of the card and place a strip of the patterned paper to connect the front to the inside and added a sentiment to top it off. I am really pleased with how it all turned out.   Craft Stamper magazine for reference-found here http://www.craftstamper.com/
